'Emanate' first began in 2018 as a conceptual thought form about how the energy flows through people when they become emersed in joy and purpose.
Originally, this image took form as x 2 moments in the same piece, presenting the idea of x 2 versions of the artist's main character 'Leaping Lady'.
If one is to look closely you can still make out both characters.
The main character, as you can see now, is emersed in her aura, 'Spinning up' is a term often used by those meditating, to reach high frequency and raising vibration to a place of 'flow' and syncronise with everything into manifestation.
During the painting, the main character's aura took presidence, and the painting now barely shows the actual figure of the main character. One can see her feet tip toing from the peek of the golden pyramid. This is symbolic of how energetically synchronised with all living beings, and at one with herself, she is, and the colours depict the space she is within.
Each colour represents an area of special interest; Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue/Green,Violet and White. When meditating or focusing on these areas of the body with these colours, one is able to intuitively connect with various states of being. Interconnected, unblocked, the power increases and comes into manifest.
The original character 'Leaping Lady', has been a way for the artist to connect with the paintings, that ultimately represent experiences of being, inner and outer worlds combined.
Other paintings representing the main character have depicted moments of solitude, emotional silence and experiencing other states of being.
Leaping Lady is also a Woodcut usiing MDF, rarely exhibited and never fully printed for public exhibition. This will be something to look out for along with other paintings depicting the Lady as she takes an audience on an emotional journey if you will allow her to.
A simple edition of x 5 giclees, are being created at Steve Russell Studios Ltd, Chalford,Stroud, Gloucestershire this season, ready for an exhibition entry into the July 2025 exhibition at Cirencester Corinium Museum.
